Buying a wrought iron door online can be nerve-wracking. At Black Diamond Iron Doors, we make the shipping & delivery process simple and easy so you can safely offload your new iron door on your own terms.
Once an order has been confirmed and the door has been approved to leave our warehouse, we start the delivery process.
We ship nationwide and many of our iron doors travel thousands of miles before reaching the final destination. We carefully package your door to prevent damages.
First, a custom pallet is built specifically for the door and designed to hold the weight of up to 3000lbs.
Next, the door is packaged with plastic film, bubble wrap, corrugated paper, cardboard, and finally put the door in an individual wooden crate before loading the door onto its custom pallet.
The package is finalized by securing the door to the pallet using shrink wrap and durable nylon cloth strapping capable of supporting up to 2400lbs.
If you want to purchase a door but are not ready for delivery, we offer free storage at our warehouse for up to 60 days.
Once approved to ship, Black Diamond Iron Doors will arrange shipping.
Shipping is a standard $600 rate for iron doors up to 8' tall within the continental US over 75 miles from our Houston, TX warehouse. For multiple doors, larger doors including bi-folds, sliding doors, and doors with transoms, shipping can be quoted for an estimate.
We use a national LTL freight carrier to ship your wrought iron door. Our shipping will always be non-stackable, include insurance, tracking number, and a delivery appointment.
Once the door leaves our warehouse and arrives at your nearest carrier's destination terminal, the delivery carrier will call to set up an appointment with a date and specific time to deliver your door to the address specified.
The carrier will deliver your door curbside and the customer is responsible for unloading the package in the truck and offloading to the curb. This will require 3 able-bodied persons. We recommend unpacking the pallet and unloading piece by piece to reduce weight. A liftgate can only be provided if the door is less the 96" due to overhang.
