We ordered the Telluride Double Doors, they are beautiful! Had a few scratches when we unboxed it but the touch up paint that was included helped to hide them. Still waiting on the weather stripping under each door to hopefully relax, right now we have gaps under both but thinking it’s from how it was packed? Have had so many complaints on them! Would definitely order again

Excellent quality door looks great

We used this door in our recently finished basement as an entrance into our gym/multi purpose room. The door looks great, very sleek looking and feels extremely sturdy and durable. The glass is tempered glass. The door was shipped and packaged very well - no dings, scratches or broken parts. If needed, I would purchase from Black Diamond again.

Beautiful Doors, Great Customer Service, and Fast Delivery

Finding iron doors in stock and in the right size was tough—until I found Black Diamond. I placed my order, then realized a day or two later that I needed a different size. When I called customer service, the representative was fantastic. He told me my original doors were about to be loaded on the truck but he was able to stop the shipment so I could make the change.

The doors themselves are solid and look great. We installed them off our living room into a new office (still being finished). Some noise does filter through, so if sound reduction is important, I’d recommend choosing double-pane glass.

Pre-Hung Door Sizes Include Frame & Threshold In Door Size

Width - Door Size is measured from the outside of jamb/frame to outside of jamb/frame

Height - Door Size is measured from top of frame to bottom of threshold

Example: 72 x 96" double door will include the frame/jamb in this measurement

Recommended rough opening to be at least 1" wider and 1/2" taller
than the iron door to allow for adjustment during installation

6" jamb is standard for 2x4 walls. If you have 2x6 walls, you may want to consider a custom order with an 8" jamb or use trim

Inswing means that the door opening is inside the house. Outswing doors open to the outside and are used mostly for patio doors or storefronts to meet building codes.

When facing the door from the outside of house, left hand inswing means the left door opens into the house.

When deciding between left and right inswing, this will depend on your house layout and is a preference to the customer on which direction they want the primary door to open.

We use the highest quality 12 gauge steel with 5/8" scroll work to make our iron doors. Many other steel door companies use 14 or 16 gauge steel, which is 30-50% lighter, dents easily, and has less insulation.

All of our steel security doors are built to last decades and are built to withstand some of the toughest weather conditions.

We use 5/8" tempered dual pane glass with glass already installed in our wrought iron doors. For custom exterior iron doors, we have over 10 different glass options. 

Rain glass & Low E clear glass styles tends to be the most popular, but we also have aquatex, reed, frost, etc. If you find an in-stock steel door style you like but want a different glass style, we can create a custom iron door order.

Both of our modern steel doors & wrought iron doors are pre-hung meaning the jamb, door, glass, flush bolt, roller latch, & sweep is included.

Only handles, installation bolts and installation are not included to allow customers to choose their own lock and installer.

Our wrought iron & steel entry & interior doors are made from the highest quality 12 gauge steel so they are very heavy.


A single 3' x 8' foot iron exterior door will weigh around 400 pounds with double doors weighing around 800-1000 pounds.

Depending on steel profile and application, our materials are sourced from Germany, Italy, USA, China, and Indonesia and manufactured in our production facility in China.  

Yes, contractors, builders, developers, and other door companies often purchase our single & double iron entry doors and then sell to their own clients. You could be paying more at another iron door company and still be receiving one of our wrought iron entry doors.
