BD door hardware is very difficult to work with. The doors strike plates and bolt carrier stick proud of the door without any modifications. Also the threaded holes for the strike plates, deadbolt, latch do not line up with the pre drilled holes for the plates. Very disappointed with the “Preferred Hardware” that came with the door!

The firs set was damaged by the trucking company and they replaced them in a timely manner.

The build quality and customer service are excellent for sure. We bought the hardware package which is challenging. Finally got it on but have to pull very hard to get the door to shut. So hard in fact, my kid can’t do it. For the price, this should shut with ease.
This was such a smooth process of ordering, receiving the templates for approval, great communication during the process and through the delivery. I’m very pleased to have found this company!
Great to hold and see the different types. Might suggest better packaging. Weather prevented delivery so th package rode around in the truck for an extra week. 5 of the samples were shattered. Not a terrible deal gho because they were the ones we would have cut first from our choice list.

The door is very nice and so were the Black Diamond Sales Reps! The process to get the door and the delivery experience was not great. The door was delayed, delivery rescheduled at the last minute and we were requested to unload other peoples (very heavy) doors from the truck to get ours. There were lots of people to deal with when it came to delivery, but once we found the right person, Black Diamond did what they could to make things right. Hopefully our situation was not how things are normally handled.
We are incredibly happy with our black diamond door! I did a LOT of research before purchasing, and could not be happier with my decision to go with black diamond.

Purchased the 8x7’ Trifold door to replace a rollup garage door on my wife’s art studio. We did the work ourselves! The door was well packaged and arrived undamaged. We assembled the frame easily and all measurements were exact. After lifting into position and securing it we mounted the three doors on their welded pins. They are very heavy and we needed three people to position and mount. After assembly and minor adjustment they open, fold, and close like they are the doors of a high end Mercedes sedan. Awesome! My wife loves the look and all the light they add to her art studio.
We bought these doors for my wife’s art studio. It had used an insulated garage door prior. Wow, what a difference. So much light now enters her space and it really opens it up to the outside. I installed it myself with the help of some studly neighbors. Everything about these doors is heavy! Hanging the doors on the hinges was definitely a two man job! After adjustment it opens and closes like an expensive car! Well worth the price and wait!
