We used this door in our recently finished basement as an entrance into our gym/multi purpose room. The door looks great, very sleek looking and feels extremely sturdy and durable. The glass is tempered glass. The door was shipped and packaged very well - no dings, scratches or broken parts. If needed, I would purchase from Black Diamond again.
I sent an email with photos to you all less than 24 hrs after getting the door about some issues my client has with the door. I never received a response back on what you all could do to correct the issues. I think your product could be great with a few tweaks, particularly the finish and some of the edges where the grinding work got a little carried away. I was excited to start using these in our custom new build houses and renovations but with the customer service being what it is I am very reluctant to order another door. I do hope this gets someone's attention over at Black Diamond Doors and they make some changes to how they respond to customer service and I would hope someone does reach out to me to help resolve some of these issues.
This door, by far, makes our house. It is everything we envisioned and pulls our whole design together. While it took a while to be delivered, the team at Black Diamond was amazing, helping every step of the way. The door is so well made, and very heavy, it just "feels" like great quality. Our experience was so great we are thinking about other doors we can swap out to match this new front door. This is one of those purchases where you sit back and say, "worth every cent".
I bought this as a door in the jamb, it showed up in two pieces of the jam in the door. This is not how it stated on the website, I called to inquire about a discount for the extra labor it was going to cost me and they pretty much blew me off. The door is nice, but a little bit of customer service would’ve got a long way.
